Terms of Service

Last updated: August 10, 2026

Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FocusShield, a free web-based productivity app that enforces a 5-task daily limit with a built-in Pomodoro timer, ambient sounds, meeting cost calculator, and streak tracking. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Accounts

A free account is required to use FocusShield. You must provide a valid email address and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use FocusShield to:

Your Content

You retain ownership of the tasks, focus session history, and settings you create in FocusShield ("Your Content"). We store Your Content to provide the service — to save your data and sync it across your devices. We do not sell Your Content or share it with advertisers.

The Service

FocusShield is provided free of charge, with no paid tiers and no credit card required. The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

Termination

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time using the delete-account option in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Third-Party Services

The app may use error/crash reporting (Sentry) to help us fix bugs, and streams ambient sound files from a third-party CDN. Use of these services is subject to their own terms where applicable.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FocusShield and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of FocusShield after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
